Last updated: 21/11/2025

These Website Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the CDMS Motion website. By accessing, browsing, or using this website, our services or our company, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use this site.

1. About Us

CDMS Motion is a UK-based media production company offering video production, sound recording, editing, post-production, and digital media services.

Using this website does not form a contract for services. Project bookings are only confirmed once a formal contract has been signed.

2. Booking Policy & How Jobs Are Confirmed

All projects undertaken by CDMS Motion require a signed project contract. This contract outlines the scope of work, payment terms, cancellation policy, storage rules, and copyright agreements.

A job is not confirmed until the client signs the official CDMS Motion project contract.

First-Come, First-Served Policy

If multiple clients request the same date and limited crew are available:

  • The first client to sign the project contract is awarded the booking.

  • Verbal agreements, emails, or quotations do not secure a date.

  • CDMS Motion is not liable for any losses if a client delays returning a signed contract and the date is claimed by another party.

3. Website Use & Acceptable Behaviour

By using this site, you agree:

  • Not to misuse the website or attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or data.

  • Not to copy, reproduce, or distribute any website content (including images, text, branding, or videos) without written permission.

  • Not to upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful material.

We reserve the right to restrict access to the website at any time for maintenance, updates, or security reasons.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on this site including images, text, branding, design elements, and media examples is owned by CDMS Motion unless otherwise stated.

You may not:

  • Reproduce or distribute website content

  • Use CDMS Motion branding for your own purposes

  • Download or share example videos for commercial use

CDMS Motion retains full copyright over all materials displayed online.

5. Definitions of Revisions & Re-Edits

CDMS Motion distinguishes between minor revisions and re-edits. These definitions are provided to ensure clarity for clients reviewing our services.

Minor Revision (Not a Re-Edit)

A minor revision is a small, quick adjustment that does not alter the structure or pacing of a project. Examples include:

  • Transition changes

  • Small colour tweaks

  • Font or text style adjustments

  • Minor audio level fixes

Minor revisions typically take only a few minutes and may be included within certain project agreements, depending on the signed contract.

Re-Edit (Chargeable)

A re-edit is defined as:

Any change that materially alters the structure, pacing, content, direction, or creative composition of a project beyond basic aesthetic tweaks.

Examples include:

  • Reordering scenes or restructuring the timeline

  • Adding or removing significant footage

  • Changing music and re-timing the edit

  • Completely re-grading the entire project

  • Major new graphics or motion design work

  • Requests that take substantial editing time or alter the creative direction

All re-edits are chargeable and will be billed at the appropriate editing rate, as defined in our marketing and rates page.
